The Linocut Handbook
A detailed guide to the techniques, materials and tools used for creating linocut prints. This course is designed for beginners and intermediate printmakers.
The course will be available later this year

What you'll learn
This course begins with the basics of choosing materials, drawing and carving into linoleum, but goes much deeper into advanced techniques and troubleshooting difficult prints.

Hey, I’m Aishwarya. 👋

I’ve loved art since my time in architecture school. Then, a few years ago, my graphic designer husband introduced me to linocut—and it quickly became ‘my thing’. Some of my work is based on moments in my life, but most of it comes from the places I visit. The buildings, the food, the landscapes, flowers and streets in a new place always inspire me.
My sketchbook is at the heart of my process. I sketch loosely while traveling, and turn a selection of sketches into linocuts when I’m back in my studio. This double-translation adds a bit of my personality into each print.
I talk about these things in detail throughout my course. I hope you’ll join!

“I absolutely loved the workshop! It felt so good to create something with my hands. ‘Mindful’ is apt to describe it.
I appreciate how you explained things through tangible examples. To say the least, it was really fun & calming!”
